LSPR Technology
LSPR (Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance) is a form of SPR generated by noble metal nanostructures. The technology utilizes white light to activate the LSPR film due to the absorption of the yellow-orange components of the light. The remaining light is then reflecting back from the surface with a burgundy color. This reflectivity spectrum of the LSPR film is then measured via spectroscopy. On the other hand, planar gold reflects over a range of green to red, without absorption (Figure 1).
